SIRU Junior Rugby
Southern Inland Rugby Union manages a Junior Competition, which traditionally occurs during Term 2 and Term 3 of the School year.
All results and ladders can be found on the Rugby Xplorer App, if you need help setting this up, please click here for more information.
The Junior Competition follows a fortnightly Gala Day (sometimes Full Gala Days, and other times Half Gala Days spread across two locations) structure over 9 occasions, followed by a 2 week Finals Series.
With Age Groups from U6 to U17, and both Tackle (Female and Male in older age groups) and Touch7s competitions, each Gala Day is non-stop over a range of fields. It is always great to see teams willing to share to make up the numbers and help out when teams are short of players, with making sure every player has maximum game time the main focus.
All fixtures and results are managed online, you can access them through the Rugby Xplorer app and looking up the club you are interested in.
Outside of regular competition our Development Staff also run a range of school clinics, and other clinics around the zone to help build interest in the sport of Rugby Union and increase the participation numbers at all of our affiliated clubs.
