Board and Responsibilities
The SIRU Board is responsible for the overall management and operations of all matters relating to Rugby Union in the Southern Inland Zone of NSW. The Board operates under the provisions contained in the Associations Incorporation Act 2009, the SIRU Constitution, the SIRU Strategic Directions and in accordance with any resolution passed by a meeting of the SIRU Council and is accountable to members for its decisions, actions and obligations. Each Board Member has responsibility for a Club and will make contact with Clubs on a regular basis.
Warwick Grant
President Warwick has a long association with rugby in the southern inland region. Warwick joined the Waratahs Rugby Club in 1973 and served in various committee positions for the best part of three decades, stepping down as president at the end of 2019. In addition to playing several hundred games for Waratahs, Warwick played representative level Rugby for Riverina, Southern Provinces and NSW Country. He is a Life Member of the Waratahs Rugby Club and of Southern Inland Rugby Union. Warwick served on the SIRU Board as a Director for several years prior to his appointment as President in 2019. He is passionate about grass-roots rugby and providing opportunities for Clubs to expand their involvement in rugby across the Zone. |
