School Programs
Brumbies Rugby Development Officers facilitate a number of programs, catering for participants varying in both age, skill level & interest areas, all of which are aligned to the Australian Department of Education.
It’s a 30-60 minute session which can be run before, during or after school.
There are four programs, each holding a unique position in the experience for the player:

Sporting Schools
Rugby Australia is a Sporting Schools partner which opens the opportunity for funding.
Prior to the terms commencement, schools can apply for funding through Sporting Schools to enable these programs to be run by Development Officers.
This partnership allows The Brumbies to introduce Rugby to thousands of children across the region & better strengthen their connection.
School Holiday Clinics
This is a good opportunity to introduce and get the community involved in rugby. Brumbies development staff run interactive holiday clinics based out of Canberra, these are for all ages, abilities and interest levels. Development staff run activities that get participants active and engaging in football. The aim of these is to give participants of all ages a positive experience

- Get into Rugby: fun & inclusive entry level non-contact program, focused on skills, games promoting positive play
- Tri Tag Rugby: non-contact Rugby format, developed to encourage play prior to introduction of contact, exploring an open, enjoyable style of play
- Rugby 7’s: aimed at secondary students learning fundamentals of Rugby & Rugby 7’s in a safe environment, developing match play
- Deadly 7’s: introduction to core values required to play rugby, promoting importance of attending school, living a healthy lifestyle, teamwork and connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture
