A lot of questions have been fielded around Age Grade Dispensations over the last week or so. Below is the process for kids who wish to play up or down an age group:
 

1. If you have a child that wishes to play up or down an age group, you need to go to http://forms.ru.statedge.xyz/age-grade-form and complete the online form.

 

1. On Tuesday 1st May 2018 we will be having an Age Grade Dispensation Day at Connolly Rugby Park from 4:30pm till 6:30pm, where all kids who have applied to either pay up or down an age group will come and be tested by 3 Brumbies staff

 

1. Once the testing is done, we will let each individual payer know the results and this will then be updated in RugbyLink, so those payers can be nominated on the correct team’s sheets etc.

 
 
Please Note: Due to Rugby Australia Policy, kids who are 7 years of age in 2018 and playing in U7s cannot not be age grade dispensated to play up into the U8s. This is a Rugby Australia Policy which Brumbies and Southern Inland Rugby Union must follow.
 
 
For Gender Dispensation (for girls who wish to be considered to play in the U14s boys) the following steps need to take place:
 
 

1. If you have a young girl who would like to play with the boys please Click Here and read through the information and complete the Mixed Gender Dispensation Form

 

1. Visit your Local GP and get him to assess your daughter and provide a letter saying that they believe she is physically able to take part in tackle rugby with boys

 

1. Send the Mixed Gender and Letter from your Local GP through to me no later than Wednesday 25th April 2018 please

 

1. Attend the Age Grade Dispensation Day at Connolly Rugby Park on Tuesday 1st May from 4:30pm till 6:30pm

I know there has been some confusion around Senior Rugby Dispensation. Below is how to get kids who are 17 or 18 years assessed through dispensation so if given dispensation can play in the SIRU Senior Rugby Competition:
 

• Senior Rugby Dispensation:

 
This is for boys and girls who are turning 17 or 18 in 2018 and wish to play Senior Rugby (Boys in the 3rd and 2nd Grade Competition and Girls in the Women’s Competition). There are 2 processes for this depending on your age.
              

1. If you are turning 18 in 2018, then you need to complete the Senior Rugby Dispensation Form which can be found the following link - Turning 18 Dispensation Form. This needs to be signed off by a parent or guardian and then emailed through to me. Can you please send me a scanned copy of this and not a photo.

 

1. If you are turning 17 in 2018, then you need to complete the Senior Rugby Dispensation form which can be found at Turning 17 Dispensation Form. This needs to be signed off by a parent or guardian and then emailed through to me. Can you please send me a scanned copy of this and not a photo.
    
   From there an Accredited Level 2 Coach who has done the New Assessment Module in the Learning Management Centre will complete the Senior Rugby Assessing Coach Report on the player. If Senior Clubs have players that wish to go through this process they need to get in contact with me ASAP and I will work through this with them.
