The topic of Live Streaming has been discussed by many in our zone since we saw it start in Canberra a few years back. We look forward to this opportunity and how it helps our zone, our clubs get a chance to review their opponents coming into games, our referees have the opportunity to review their own performances and discuss decisions made during the game, and it gives people something to watch during the week when they have no Rugby to watch.
Each week we will be live streaming one Total Ag Solutions-Kubota 1st Grade game, with the first 6 rounds pre-selected, and the final 8 rounds to be selected each week as we head into the Finals Series. The Live Stream is presented by WaggaWagga.TV, and has been sponsored by Anthony Wisely Constructions. It will be available via the Southern Inland Rugby Union Facebook Page each week. If you would be interested in placing your business logo on our Live Stream each week, please get in contact. The games that have been pre-selected to be Live Streamed are: Rd. 3 - CSU v Tumut Rd. 4 - WAC v Tumut Rd. 5 - Waratahs v Griffith Rd. 6 - City v Leeton Rd. 7 - City v Albury Rd. 8 - WAC v Albury

Southern Inland Rugby Union is proud to announce their City & Country Coaches for 2019.
The teams will compete following the Leeton Jnr Gala Day on Sunday May 12th, with the teams to be made up of players from across our zone. This game will be the main trial before a squad will be named to represent SIRU on the June Long Weekend in Canberra against South Coast and Monaro. The City team will include players from the four Wagga Wagga based teams - CSU Reddies, Wagga Ag College, Wagga City and Wagga Waratahs. They will be coached by Will Mitchell. Given Will's current involvement in Wagga Ag College, and previous involvement with Wagga Waratahs, he is excited by the opportunity to handle the best players in Wagga and hopefully obtain bragging rights from the fixture. The Country team will include players from our four non-Wagga Premier teams (Albury-Wodonga Steamers, Griffith Blacks, Leeton Phantoms and Tumut Bulls), as well as players from Hay Cutters and Deniliquin Drovers who have expressed an interest in being involved. They will be coached by the combined team of Nick McCarthy and Jonathan Andreou. Nick McCarthy and Jonathan Andreou have been involved in Rugby in our zone for quite some time, whilst they have mostly been involved with local clubs in Wagga, they also want to take home bragging rights from this fixture, and are quietly confident that whilst they are geographically challenged, they will be the better team on the day. We are still open to Expressions of Interest from players who want to be involved, with two training sessions remaining. If you are interested in representing your City or Country club at a higher level, or even SIRU, please email [email protected] for more information. 5th May - Training Session 10th May - Training Session 11th May - Competition Bye 12th May - City v Country following Leeton Jnr Gala Day |
