2019 Junior Gala Days

The final list has arrived!

Following the Annual Junior Meeting, clubs were asked to confirm field availability for certain dates, and we have finally got everyone a suitable date!
With the growing number of participants, Gala Days have become so large that many clubs have to spread across multiple locations across their towns. This is why in 2019 the structure has changed, with only 3 Full Gala Days in 2019, whilst the other 6 Gala Day dates will be split across two locations.

Our first full Gala Day will be in Wagga on March 31st, and to start the season off proper there will be some Special Guests making a visit! Being hosted by Wagga Crows at Conolly Rugby Park and Jubilee Ovals and is sure to be an event not to miss.
Full Gala Day no. 2 will be taken to Leeton on May 12th, hosted by the Junior Phantoms. Following the Junior games, the City v Country Representative fixture will be re-introduced, this is a great way to link the SIRU Snr and Jnr competition, and show the Jnr participants the pathways when they grow too old for Junior Rugby.
The 3rd and final Full Gala Day will be hosted in Cootamundra by the Bears, this will leave only 3 rounds remaining before Finals begin.

With many matches in our Finals series in 2018 requiring Extra Time to find a result, and if they ran out of Extra Time we also had to award multiple "Joint Premiers" as teams were inseparable. We're sure more of these contests will pop up during our Finals at West Wyalong and Cootamundra this year.

We encourage all to come along and check out your local Gala Day, if you want to help out, get in contact with your local club as these days always need plenty of volunteers.
