2020 SIRU Season Announcement

SIRU is excited to notify all members that following the Senior Council Meeting on Sunday 24th November, all season dates have been finalised for 2020.
The Junior Council Meeting held earlier in 2019 came to a decision on their competition dates, and will now begin working on which Gala Days will be held when. Juniors continue to grow with only 2 Full Gala Days being proposed for 2020 as the number of games is likely to reach over 100 per weekend in 2020.

Their competitions dates are:

1. 3rd May 2020
2. 17th May 2020
3. 31st May 2020
4. 14th June 2020
5. 28th June 2020
6. 5th July 2020
7. 26th July 2020
8. 2nd August 2020
9. 16th August 2020
10. Semi Finals - 23rd August 2020 - Wagga Wagga
11. Grand Finals - 30th August 2020 - Grenfell

During the Senior Council Meeting, a proposed Calendar from the SIRU Board and staff was presented to the clubs, with all in support of the proposed Calendar which included 4 byes (3 due to Public Holidays) and a competition start date of 4th April 2020.
The SIRU staff will now begin on developing a draw whilst awaiting the clubs proposed dates of ideal home games.
