As 2022 comes to a close, the planning for 2023 has concluded, with the Season Draw below. 2023 will see some changes following recent seasons, with each Grade having a maximum of eight teams, and a total of up to 31 teams participating in 2023. Deniliquin Drovers return to SIRU in 2023 following their sabbatical in 2022 due to a shortage of players, with them choosing to enter into Men's 1st Grade on their return. An exciting prospect, with all Clubs looking forward to the new challenge in the top Men's Grade. Tumut Bullettes also return in 2023, with them committing to the Women's Competition following a number of players departing the region ahead of the 2022 season. This will see the Women's Competition return to eight teams also. Hay Cutters have moved down the grades into Men's 3rd Grade for 2022, with priority given to those Clubs fielding a team or teams in the Premier Grades of Men's 1st Grade and/or Women's Xs. As a result, the Competition will total 14 Regular Season Rounds, with minimal byes apart from the Competition Wide Bye on Saturday 10th June for the King's Birthday Long Weekend and Brumbies Provincial Championships. As a result, some Clubs will be aligned with other Clubs in the Draw, as we see Clubs having to split when travelling once or twice during the season. See below table for clarity on how the Clubs are aligned and the teams competing in 2023. 2023 Season kicks off on Saturday 15th April 2023, keep an eye out for details from your local Club on Pre-Season, Season Launches, and everything else you need to know before Round 1!
