Obst, Pietsch & McTaggart do well for Aussie Youth 7s

​Two former Wagga boys have helped Australia to success in the World School Sevens Tournament at Auckland over the weekend.

Matt McTaggart (left) and Dylan Pietsch (right) were both selected for the Australian under 18 boys teams following impressive performances at the National Youth Championships in Perth earlier this month.
Australia went through the tournament undefeated and scored a thrilling win over Samoa Barbarians in the final.

The Riverina Anglican College student Claudia Obst was part of the girls team but didn’t enjoy the same success.
After a draw and two losses in the group stage, the Aussies scored a 14-12 win over Samoa in the plate final.
