SIRU Senior Competitions Update

SIRU has been working closely with the Senior Clubs around the situation at Leeton Phantoms and their struggle for consistent Men's player numbers.

Leeton Phantoms have made considerable steps towards success entering a Men's 1st Grade and Men's 2nd Grade in 2022 after their only Men's team in 2021 was entered into Men's 3rd Grade.

Unfortunately at the halfway point of the season, Leeton submitted a request to the SIRU Board to withdraw from Men's 1st Grade, and only compete in Men's 2nd Grade for the remainder of the season.
SIRU Board discussed this proposal, as well as some other options with the Leeton Phantoms Executive, the above proposal was agreed to be the best option for the remainder of the 2022 season.

All Men's 1st Grade matches to be played against Leeton will now become Byes. This will be updated in Xplorer by the end of this week.
